AhlulBayt News Agency: At the 4th Tehran Dialogue Forum, Kamal Kharrazi, former Iranian Foreign Minister and head of Iran’s Strategic Council on Foreign Relations, accused Europe of aiding Israeli war crimes in Gaza. He also criticized the West’s subservience to American and Israeli agendas.
Kharrazi’s remarks reflect Iran’s growing frustration with Europe’s inaction regarding Israeli genocide in Gaza. He described Israeli actions in Gaza as a “live Holocaust”, highlighting a moral crisis for the West.
According to Kharrazi, global power dynamics are shifting, with the decline of U.S. hegemony and the rise of multilateral institutions such as BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. He noted that these changes allow regional powers like Iran, China, Russia, and Turkey to play a more independent role in shaping the international order.
He further stated that the West’s unipolar dominance is collapsing, paving the way for a multipolar world where emerging states assert their autonomy.
Kharrazi recalled a conversation with European officials, saying: “You are witnessing a live Holocaust, one that is more brutal and broadcast on television.”
He accused Europe of moral failure, arguing that by supplying weapons to Israel, European nations are directly participating in war crimes. He asserted that Europe remains under U.S. and Israeli pressure.
Kharrazi also criticized Europe’s lack of strategic independence, particularly following the collapse of the JCPOA. He stated: “Our relations with Europe are frozen. We hoped they would act independently on the JCPOA, but they didn’t.”
His remarks align with Iran’s broader campaign to frame the Gaza conflict as a turning point in international morality and geopolitics.
The emphasis on a multipolar world reflects Iran’s strategic pivot toward Asia and emerging powers beyond the West’s influence
